Monday, Jan. 19, was a big day for Rock Your Body Pilates — and for Megan Frazier and Alison Donovan, too.

Last Monday RYB held its first Mega Monday event. One of the perks of signing up and attending a class on that day would mean you would be entered to win one of two five-class packages.

Frazier, 27, of Plymouth, and Donovan, 40-something, from Macomb, were the winners of the two packages.

The two winners said they were very excited to hear they had won the five free visits. Both also said they have been pleased with the results seen so far from their RYB workouts.

“I was so pumped when I won,” Frazier said. “It’s my favorite workout and it helps to solidify my routine. I drive far to go to class so this was an extra push I needed. RYB Pilates makes me feel really healthy and fit so I’m really grateful to be able to continue it.”

Donovan also said she was “pleased” when she won, as it offered her “more opportunity to get back into shape.”

Frazier started attending classes after discovering RYB on Facebook.

“My friend, Victoria Kreger, found RYB on Facebook when it opened, and we were excited to try it out together when it opened,” Frazier said.

Donovan said she heard about RYB from a friend of owner Ashley Bazzetta.

“She knew I wanted to get back into shape and she thought Pilates would be perfect for me,” Donovan explained.

She also said the fast-moving classes keep her energized.

“The workout is fantastic,” Donovan said. “The 50-minute classes fly by. I feel muscles being worked that I have never felt before. Even though I am new to this, I never feel embarrassed or out of place because I can do each exercise to my personal best.”

And Bazzetta said that is what she likes to hear.

“That is one of our goals at RYB,” she said. “We want everyone to feel comfortable and at ease during our workouts. It’s not a competition.”

Frazier also echoed Donovan’s sentiments, saying it “is the best workout I have ever done.”

“I feel sore in all of the best areas…love handles, thighs, butt, abs,” she said. “I feel like if I am going to spend time working out, it’s got to be worth it. This workout is so worth it!”

Bazzetta said the team hopes to offer more free-visit packages in the future.

“I am so happy to hear people are loving the workout,” she said. “I knew when I discovered this workout that it would help so many people. And to hear people say it too — I think that it just great.”
